A solar-powered water supply network handed over in Ghor province

  At a total cost of 1,664,830 AFN, funded by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) through the State budget, a solar-powered water supply network has been recently completed and handed over in “Palal” village in Firuzkoh, the provincial capital of Ghor province.
The project included digging of one well, construction of an iron reservoir with 20-cubic meter capacity, an extension of 1,920-meter long pipe network and installation of solar water supply system and 60 in-house water taps. With the completion of this project, around 140 families got access to clean drinking water in the aforementioned locality. The project was implemented through the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).
