The implementation work of 185 development projects is ongoing in Helmand

At a cost of more than AFNs 320 million the implementation work of 185 development projects is on going through the Citizen’s Charter National Priority Program of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Ministry (MRRD) in Lashkarga City and NadAli and Nawa districts of Helmand province.

These projects include: digging of 10 water wells and construction of 175 irrigation Canal of which 35 projects will be implemented in Nad Ali district, 100 projects in Nawa district and 50 other projects will be implemented in Lashkarga city.

During the implementation of the mentioned projects 153 thousand lobar days have been created for many technical and non technical workers any after accomplishment 200 thousand villagers will be benefited.

It is worth to be mentioned that by the implementation of the mentioned projects 100 thousand hectares of agriculture lands will be irrigated and 600 families will gain access to potable water.
