Handing over of water supply network construction project costing 2.7 million AFN IN Kuner province

The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (Ru-WatSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation (MRRD) has recently completed and handed over a solar-powered water supply network in “Rashid Korna” village located in Marawara district of Kunar province.

The total cost of this project was 2,700,000 AFN which was funded by USAID/UNICEF. With the completion of this project, around 200 families have gotten access to clean drinking water. Likewise, the construction affairs of this project, created as many as 120 working days for the residents. The project included the digging of one deep well, construction of one protection wall, installation of a 2,400-meter long pipes network, solar panels, taps, and other essential taps.
