MRRD signs the contracts for 176 development projects

At a total cost of more than AFNs 650 million, the contracts for 176 development projects was signed today between H.E Mujib Rahman Karimi   the Minister  of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) and Community  Development Councils (CDC).

 At the ceremony which was held on this occasion, H.E Mujib Rahman Karimi said that the projects’ cost is 650,137,611 Afghanis, which will be funded by the Ministry of Finance, the World Bank and the World Agriculture Development Program. And by the implementation of the mentioned projects 19650 acres irrigation land in Nangarhar and 10 thousand lands in Kabul will be irrigated and 31 thousand families will be benefited from the mentioned projects.

According to the Minister of MRRD these projects include: construction of 23 schools in Nangrahar province and implementation of 145 other welfare projects in 6 districts of this province.
