The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development supervised the construction of the Large Reservoir dam in Qadis District of Badghis Province

Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Yunus Akhundzada, and an accompanying delegation supervised the construction of the Reservoir dam in Qadis District of Badghis Province.

The Qadis Reservoir Dam is located 70 kilometers from Qala-E-Naw, the center of Badghis Province, and plays a major role in controlling the water of the Qadis River and preventing floods.

The water capacity of this large dam is approximately 3 million cubic meters, and it is being built with a height of 32 meters at a cost of $12.5 million from the development budget of the Ministry.

The Qadis Reservoir Dam is a vital public project that plays an essential role in the lives of the villagers of Qadis District. With the construction of the dam, the agriculture and livestock of the residents will improve, and the economy of the people will be enhanced.

With the completion of this large dam, 14,00 hectares of agricultural land will be irrigated, and job opportunities will be provided to the residents of the area in the agricultural field.
