Provision of Drinking Water for 700 Families in Balkh

At a cost of more than AFNs 5 million funded by the National Water Supply Sanitation and Irrigation program of MRRD, the construction work of one solar water Supply network has been recently completed and handed over in now abad e Safly village of Nahr Shahee district of Balkh Province.

This network which has been completed in two stages includes :  Digging of 90 meters depth  water  well , Construction of a 20 cubic meter high reservoir , 5 km pipe , installation of 27 solar boards , one water pamper and 435 water taps in the houses .

During the implementation of the mentioned project, 164 lobar days were created and after accomplishment 700 families have gotten access to save drinking water (potable water).
