A gravity-fed water supply network handed over in Samangan province
With the total cost of 10,276,000 AFN, funded through the State budget by Ministry of Finance (MoF), a gravity-fed water supply network has been recently completed and handed over by Rural Water Supply , Sanitation and irrigation Program (Ru-WatSIP) of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Talkh village in Dara-e-Sof Payeen district of Samangan province.
With the construction of this water supply network, over 620 families got access to clean drinking water. The project included constructing a spring and an 80-cubic meter water reservoir, extension of over 23,000-meter long pipes network and installation of 269 water-meter equipped taps.
